Calgary Basketball Classic Schedule & Results Information

The Calgary Basketball Classic has a total of 64 teams participating in six separate tiers. Each division has 32 girls and boys teams, in brackets of 8 or 16. There are 28 member schools in the CSHSAA. Four other high schools from the surrounding area are invited to round out the six brackets. Over 1,000 student athletes, coaches, trainers and managers will be participating.

Many of the event's team members will be selected to receive $1,000 scholarships for post-secondary schooling. The scholarship winners will be honored at a dinner on Wednesday, December 7 at Bishop Grandin.

There will be 16 schools each hosting double-header contests on Monday, December 5. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, games will generally take place at the school with the highest seeding. Some exceptions will occur in order to eliminate single games. 

The game times are 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. nightly. 

The Division C Championship and Consolation Championship will be held on Thursday, December 8; the Division A and B  Consolation Championship games will go on Friday, December 9.   A and B Championship games are on Saturday, December 10. The final games in the Shaw TV Boys and Big Mountain Girls A and B Divisions will be live streamed on High School Cube.

The admission rate for the Calgary Basketball Classic is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for seniors and students and Free for children under 6). A limited number of adult passes will be available on Monday night only. These $10.00 passes will allow an adult access to all games during the week.
